Sick of giving your telephone number?

Are you sick and tired of giving out your home phone number when buying something or registering for a service or website? Concerned WHY do these firms/sites need your number when they'll more likely email you? Well, worry no longer! Use 0333 88 88 88 88 in place of your home number.

Those REALLY nice people at TrueCall who developed a call blocking device that attaches to your phone line have released a new service, free to use for all those concerned for their privacy.

Extract from Truecall38's website:

Using a price comparison web site, making a donation to a charity, making a sales enquiry, booking a train or a theatre ticket... they all ask for your phone number. They don’t really need it, so who knows what they are going to do with it... if they need to contact you they can email you – right?

Trouble is, if you don’t enter your phone number you won’t be able to complete the form, but if you do enter it they are allowed to phone you - even if you are registered with the Telephone Preference Service!

Here at trueCall we offer a revolutionary new, FREE service in the UK that solves this dilemma. When completing a form just enter our phone number, not yours - 0333 88 88 88 88 (that’s three threes, eight eights). When they call you they will hear the message “trueCall38 is handling my calls. I value my privacy – if you need to contact me please use my email address. Goodbye!”

Remember - some companies actually do need your phone number – maybe they need your mobile number to send you a text as part of their validation process, or it's a flight booking, or a form at a hospital. In these cases it may be better to give them your real number.
